To get started, new cardmembers receive 25,000 bonus points after their first purchase. 25,000 Bonus Points with Initial Purchase - Cardmembers will receive this bonus offer, good for over $400 in Wanna Get Away Fares. This amounts to enough for a free round-trip flight! More bonus points are given to cardmembers on the anniversary of their account opening: 3,000 points, year after year, on the card member anniversary - as long as your account is in good standing. Balance Transfers also Garner Points - When cardmembers make a balance transfer during the first 90 days of enrollment, 1 point per dollar transferred is earned. This maxes out at 10,000 points. Points for every Dollar Spent - Earn two (2) points for every dollar you spend directly with Southwest Airlines. These include flights, purchases during flights, Southwest Airlines Vacation packages and gift cards. All other purchases garner one point per dollar spent.
